For the Ritual Gatherings festival at Kamchia Beach, Cédric Van Parys created a series of tall vertical metal poles balancing horizontal brass rods gently moving with the wind and announcing the position of the sun. Time, motion, solidity, and ephemerality are the main constituents to create a constellation that levitates between a scientific phenomenon and a supernatural omen. It’s a clock, windmill, and compass all in one.
